Backup, restore and updating
Everything you have is one file. Copying it is the whole backup strategy.
Backing up
Open the launcher and click Back up now. It writes a complete, consistent snapshot next to your database — taken properly with SQLite rather than copying the file, which would miss recent changes still in the write-ahead log.
The app also takes one automatically every day and keeps the last several.
Take a backup before an update, before a big agent run, and before anything you would regret. It takes a second.
Restoring
Pick a backup in the launcher and click Restore. It stops the app, copies your current database aside first so a wrong choice is undoable, swaps the file, and tells you to start again.
Moving to another computer
Copy the whole folder across and run the launcher there. Your clients, audits and settings come with it. Nothing is tied to the machine.
Updating
Update to latest in the control panel pulls the newest version and rebuilds. Your data is never touched by an update, and database changes are applied automatically on the next start.
